Service Department

  1. Brush Collection

    Refer to the Service Department for various services offered to residents.

  2. Cemetery

    The main entrance is west of the Aurora Police Department, 100 South Aurora Road. Gravesites are available for purchase.

  3. City Mulch & Humus

    Material is available to city residents at no charge from May 1 until supply exhausted. Residents provide own labor and no hydraulic equipment allowed.

  4. Leaf Collection

    Dates of pick up determined by the Director based on the leaf fall condition in October, weather permitting

  5. Hauling & Work in Right-of-Way Permits

    Hauling of heavy materials over city roads and work performed in rights-of-way by contractors or private owners (tie-in to sanitary sewer, driveway installations, any work in rights-of-way).

  6. Recycling

    Curbside pickup same day as trash pickup and residents must contact the recycling center to arrange for this mandatory service.

  7. Road Maintenance

    Scheduled paving and repair to dedicated roads.

  8. Storm Water Maintenance

    Removal of debris from roadways away from storm water systems and regularly scheduled cleaning of storm sewers and manholes.

  9. Snow Removal

    Clearing and salting of dedicated roads as needed.

  10. Trash Collection

    Curbside pickup for residents who require trash pickup. Residential customers must use the city’s designated trash hauler. Residents are to contact the trash hauler directly to arrange service.
