Mayor Ann Womer Benjamin was a guest at a U.S. Army program held in the Veterans Memorial gazebo on October 3. Aurora resident Ralph Ware, Commander of the Defense Contract Management Agency in Cleveland, was promoted to full Colonel during the formal ceremony, with a few friends and neighbors attending, socially distanced, and many family members participating by Zoom. Col. Worshim, a longtime mentor, came in from Huntsville, Alabama to do the honors, Col. Ojeda served as master of ceremonies, and Col. Ware’s aunt from California delivered the invocation and benediction. Wife Tia and their three children looked on proudly.
