DEPARTMENT OF LAW

SECTION 7.01. DIRECTOR DUTIES.

The Law Director shall be the head of the Department of Law.

The Law Director shall be, and during term remain, an attorney at law in good standing, admitted to the practice of law in Ohio, and shall have been engaged in the active practice of law in Ohio for a period of not less than five years immediately prior to appointment.

The Law Director shall be the legal advisor and attorney for the City and for Council and all officers, boards and commissions of the City in their official capacities, and shall perform such other duties as are consistent with the office of Law Director and as may be required by Council.
