Robert A. Galaska, Jr.                                         Council at Large January 1, 2008 - December 31, 2011 atlarge3@auroraoh.com   Tree Commission - Member Audit Committee - Member Safety, Service & Utilities Committee - Vice Chairman     Councilman Robert Galaska, Jr. began serving as At Large Councilman on May 18, 2005. He was elected to fill the vacancy left by Councilwoman Therese Mileti and will serve in this capacity until December 31, 2007.   Councilman Galaska is a high voltage electrician for NASA.  As a 1989 Aurora High School graduate, he completed an apprenticeship course in 1996, and also went on to receive his Journeyman card the same year.  Mr. Galaska is a member of IBEW Local 38, and is a Charter member of Paladian Knights.  The Paladian Knights was established to make citizens aware of the contributions and sacrifices of all veterans who have served our country in wars and conflicts. The group also supports veterans and their families after their tours and service end. Prior to being elected, he served as a citizen representative on the Tree Commission.   As an elected official, Councilman Galaska hopes to bring along some new ideas and enthusiasm.  He looks forward to serving his community and providing fair representation to the all residents.   Councilman Galaska is married to Rita.  They have a daughter, Kate and a son, Lenny. In his spare time, Mr. Galaska enjoys automobile restoration and modification, and spending time with family.
