Councilman George C. Horvat commenced his fifth term representing Ward Four in January 2008.  Councilman Horvat is Chairman of the Finance Committee, and the Parks & Recreation Board. He also serves as a member to the Safety, Service & Utilities Committee.  Councilman Horvat chaired the Tree Commission for 6 years, the Parks & Recreation Committee for 7 years, has served on the Safety Committee and as liaison to the Aurora Schools Foundation. Councilman Horvat is the Business Development Officer for a national lending institution. He attended college for two years, focusing on Business with a concentration in Marketing. Mr. Horvat has worked in areas related to health and beauty aid marketing. Councilman Horvat and his wife Paula have been married for 26 years and they have 3 children.  He is a member of the Chatham Estates Homeowner's Association, in which he served as president for two years.
