Councilman Dennis Kovach began his second term as Ward Two Council representative in January 2008.  He presently serves as the Chairman to the Parks and Recreation Board, as a memeber of the Building and Grounds Committee and is the Council Liaison to the Chamber of Commerce.  Councilman Kovach previously served on the Tree Commission, Savety Committee and was a Citizen Representative on the Safety Committee. Councilman Kovach is currently the Girls Athletic Director, Strength Coordinator and Athletic Trainer for Aurora City Schools.  Councilman Kovach retired from the National Hockey League and is a licensed athletic trainer.  He also graduated from Marietta College with a degree in Business and Physical Education, and from Fort Sam Houston School of Physical Therapy. An Aurora resident for eleven years, Councilman Kovach has been married for sixteen years and has two children.  He is actively involved in the Elementary and Harmon/High School PTO, Boy Scouts, and the Aurora Baseball League.  He also served at the West Point Military Academy and is a Vietnam Veteran.
