JULY 4th ACTIVITIES

The City of Aurora will be hosting an exciting Fireworks Display choreographed to music Saturday, July 5, 2008 at Sunny Lake Park.  The severe weather rain-date is  Sunday, July 6, 2008

Entertainment and refreshments will be available beginning at 6pm

The 24th Annual Aurora 5K/1 mile Fun Run will be held Friday, July 4, 2008 beginning at Aurora's Bicentennial Park Gazebo (by the Aurora Memorial Library).  

Awards will be given for the overall top 3 race finishers, men and women, and top 3 men and women in age categories.  Registration will begin at 7am, the 1 mile run/walk will begin at 8am, and the 5k run/masters will begin at 8:30am.  Tshirts will be handed out to the first 400 Registrants.  Awards will be given following the 5k.

The City of Aurora's Annual 4th of July parade will take place Friday, July 4th beginning at 11 am.  P arade Line-up will begin at 10 am in the parking lots of Barrington Town Square.  The parade route begins at Barrington Town Square, follows Route 306 to W. Pioneer Trail, and ends at Aurora High School. 

Aurora Baseball League teams are to line up at Craddock Elementary School at approximately 11am.  Contact coaches or Aurora Baseball League for more information.

The City of Aurora's Annual 4th of July Old-Fashioned Festival will be held immediately following the Parade, from 12 noon-4 pm at Kiwanis Moore Park.

Entertainment and concessions will be provided.

Community groups are invited to participate!
