The Community Newsletter is designed for subscribers wanting general or noteworthy information about the police department and its members.  This may include safety or crime prevention tips, information about an upcoming event or the recognition of an accomplishment by a department member.

The Neighborhood Alert is designed for subscribers wanting information regarding specific, ongoing suspicious or criminal activities within the neighborhoods.  The purpose is to raise the awareness of incidents such as multiple reports of a suspicious person or a “rash” of thefts from vehicles.  Information may include descriptions of a suspect or suspect vehicle and encouragement to immediately report sightings of such suspects or vehicles or other unusual or questionable circumstances.

The Media Release is designed primarily for television, radio, newspaper and other mass media outlet subscribers.  It is used when the police department has information that it prefers to broadcast to a large audience.  The Media Release is also used during incidents that typically get a high volume of media inquiries in an effort to reduce the number of incoming calls that public safety dispatchers receive.
