Brush Pickup Program

The Department of Public Service shall be conducting the brush pick up program effective the last FULL calendar week of each month commencing with the month of April. Please place brush out BEFORE the first day of pick up:

Brush shall be picked up from residential developed lots only with existing homes, excluding private developments, condominium, apartment complexes, and any other commercial properties. Privately hired contractors (landscapers, tree trimmers) must dispose of brush without the benefit of this program.
THE SCHEDULE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND CONTROL. |
Guidelines

Stack clean brush (See list below of "Unacceptable Material") with cut ends towards and close to the curbside. Pieces should not exceed 6" in diameter and no longer than 10’ long. Limit the quanitity of brush a pile similar in size to a standard car.

Stack brush a few days before the pickup week to guarantee service. The Department may have only one opportunity to service each street during the pickup week and request that brush be placed in the manner and time frame requested. Brush stacked beyond or between the pick up schedules may result in a Zoning violation subject to a penalty per City Ordinance. The first few months of the pickup should be heavy and it may take longer than one week to pick up brush during the initial start of this annual program. Households may consider staggering the brush output over several months.
- Wood chips, compost, and double-shredded mulch will be available from May through October for pickup at 896 E. Pioneer Trail (Audubon Parking Lot) at NO CHARGE! Residents must provide own labor and equipment!Clean brush may also be taken to Hugo/Sunshine Sand and Gravel that accepts brush deliveries at no cost; Call (330) 626-5486 in Streetsboro for information.
