Patrol Division

The Patrol Division is the largest unit of the Aurora Police Department. It is under the supervision of Lt. Andy Lumpkins.

The Patrol Division is composed of four patrol sergeants and 17 patrol officers. The Division operates with three shifts: Day Shift 7:00 AM-3:00 PM, Afternoon Shift 3:00 PM-11:00 PM, and Night Shift 10:00 PM-8:00 AM.

The primary duty of these officers is to respond to calls for service. Calls for service can range from life threatening to service-oriented in nature.

Officers also conduct traffic enforcement, crash investigations, vacation watches, and criminal investigations. 

Officers within the Patrol Division serve in various assignments, such as Field Training Officer, Taser Instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor, Firearms Instructor, K-9 Officer, US Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force Officer, and Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) members.
