Tree Lighting Ceremony 

Date: Saturday, November 27, 2021

Time: 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Location: Bicentennial Gazebo/Pioneer Park/Aurora Memorial Library

  • Note – E. Pioneer Trail within Pioneer Park will be closed due to the festival. Old Pioneer Trail will be open for through traffic.

Cost: Free to Participate – Food vendors will have refreshments available for purchase

Parking: Aurora School of Music, Kiwanis-Moore Park, City Hall, and Aurora High School.

  • Handicap parking will be located in the parking lot between E. Pioneer and Old Pioneer.

- Note: the “Polar Express” transportation will be available for those parking at Kiwanis-Moore park or Aurora High School to and from the festival.

  • Join us for a magical evening of our traditional tree lighting ceremony, with so much more!
  • After the tree lighting, enjoy activities such as:
    • Visits with Santa through Candy Cane Lane
    • Character Meet & Greets with the Grinch, Buddy the Elf, Anna and Elsa
    • Ice sculpting demonstration 
    • Inflatable snow globe photo opportunity 
    • Roaming Selfie Elf 
    • Petting Zoo
    • Food vendors 
    • DJ and performances by special guests 
  • Restrooms will be open inside the Aurora Memorial Library.
